In the face of a historic housing crisis, I outlined three key initiatives to boost construction and increase the supply of affordable housing. First, the QST exemption on construction materials is crucial to revive the residential sector. Second, reducing bureaucracy and administrative delays will increase construction starts. Finally, I propose prioritizing Hydro-Québec connections for new housing projects, thus reducing costs and speeding up the completion of housing.
My commitment to housing does not stop there. I introduced a bill to encourage the creation of social and community housing, while clarifying the definition of "affordable housing". It is time for the government to act with concrete measures to support municipalities and families in need.
These actions represent my ongoing commitment to improving the housing situation in Quebec, with an emphasis on accessibility and sustainability.
