Virginie Dufour, née à Montréal en 1977, est une femme engagée et déterminée. Titulaire d'une maîtrise en administration des affaires avec spécialisation en gestion des technologies de l'information de l'Université Laval (2013), d'un certificat en localisation de l'Université de Montréal (2006) et d'un baccalauréat en administration des affaires avec spécialisation en systèmes d'information de l'Université du Québec à Montréal (1999), elle possède un parcours académique impressionnant.

Over the years, Virginie has acquired extensive professional experience. She has held positions of responsibility, notably as municipal councilor and member of the executive committee of the City of Laval from 2013 to 2021, where she was responsible for the environment, urban planning, information technologies and female condition. Previously, she worked as a project management consultant at R3D Conseil, project manager at SDL International and assistant to the vice-president of sales at CIBC.
« The years of enriching my professional experience, including the time I lived in Chile from 1999 to 2003, have shaped my perspective of the world and strengthened my commitment to public service and sustainable development. This period taught me the importance of adaptability, cultural understanding and innovation in solving challenges.»
His community involvement is remarkable. She was president of the board of directors of the Association québécoise d'urbanisme in 2021-2022 and was named Municipal Climate Champion by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities in 2019. She has also served on the board of directors of several organizations, including Tricentris, Montréal International and Laval Technopole.

Au-delà de sa carrière, Virginie est une mère dévouée, étant conjointe de fait et mère de deux enfants. Elle est également fière de ses études primaires à l'école Jacques-De Chambly à Chambly (6e année), de ses études secondaires à l'école secondaire Leblanc à Laval (5e année) et de son passage à l'École d'éducation internationale à Saint-Hubert (1-2e année).
